Indian Cookery Masterclass £150.00 per person Take a day away from the usual routine to create your own culinary masterpiece in the kitchen of Prett Tejura's home. Experience the colours, aromas and tastes of fantastic Indian cuisine through this day course, designed to teach you all the basics and more. You will notice that some of these days have a particular regional theme. Classes begin at 10am with a lesson on essential spices, Indian herbs and other ingredients, as well as tuition on how to make a good masala sauce/paste. You'll find out what accompaniments to use, pick up presentation ideas and discover new options on serving. Then after cooking a range of dishes you'll be able to sit down with the rest of the group and enjoy the fruits of your labours. Finishing around 3pm. Numbers Limited to 2-4 people per day Indian Cookery Weekend £325.00 per person (Includes overnight stay) A chance to spend a weekend in the vibrant city of Leeds with two-day excursion into the wonderful world of Indian cookery. Saturday: The course begins at 10am with refreshments and introductions. You'll be given a talk on spices, Indian herbs and other essential ingredients, followed by a lesson on how to make a good sauce/paste. Then you'll cook a range of dishes before sitting down for lunch; you'll learn how to make your own garam masala etc with the day finishing at 3pm leaving you to enjoy the facilities of your local hotel or nip into the vibrant city of Leeds. Sunday: Day Two begins at 10am with a fascinating tour of an Asian Food Store followed by a chance to cook some more dishes for lunch. You'll be able to take away a recipe pack to help recreate the dishes at home,plus there will an opportunity for you to buy some of our Award wiining pickles,chutneys and spice boxes before the end of the course at around 1pm. Fish Masala Delicately spiced white fish with fresh tomatoes and coriander. Fish Masala can be served as a starter or a main dish. Undihya A Gujarati style vegetable curry, great compliment with any meat dish or perfect on its own with freshly made chapattis.
